Vacation relaxation

Reading:

The Good Guy by Dean Koontz
A nice, easy vacation read that doesn't require a lot of thought. Even though some of his books are a little formulaic (including this one), Dean Koontz writes really good suspense and intelligent dialogue, which I always enjoy.

Hungry Girl: Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World by Lisa Lillien
I know you know I can't cook, but that doesn't stop me from really liking cookbooks. And this one doesn't disappoint. Hungry Girl is full of healthy recipes that allow you to have your cake and eat it too! Mmmmm ... cake.

Listening to:

Simple Plan by Simple Plan
I just can't get enough of Simple Plan's bubblegum punk. And, even though I love the teen angsty-ness of their previous albums, I'm quite liking their more mature sound on this album.

The Vegas Years by Everclear
I love, love, love Everclear's covers of Rich Girl and Our Lips Are Sealed ... oh, and I can't forget Speed Racer!

Volume One by She & Him
I was captivated by Zooey Deschanel's voice when she sang Baby It's Cold Outside in the movie Elf, so I was delighted when I found out she made an album. Her songs are charmingly subtle and quirky. I'm hooked!

I bet you thought I only listened to country music!
