As far as I know, all Canadians call it pop. But I just assumed (based on television and movies, which have never lied to me before) that everyone in the United States called it soda. Is it simply that Team Soda dominates California, where most TV shows and movies are made?

in maine it's mostly called soda. in utah, it's mostly called pop, or worse, soda pop.
i'm a fan of soda, although it's really cute when kev calls it sodie.
Team Soda dominates both California and New York City... so yes, that's where ALL the TV and movies are made.
I'm from Soda Land but I live in Pop Land. Drives me nuts.
