Time off

(Bluntcard)
I decided to take a few days off this week.
Damn, I could get used to not working. *sigh* Too bad it's too late to marry a rich man.

Happy Easter

(via: Candy Blog)
As far as candy holidays go, I must admit that I like Halloween way more than Easter.
You see, Child doesn't like chocolate (yes, you read that right). So, when she receives chocolate during trick or treating, Husband and I naturally get to eat it all.
But, since Husband and I are actually Child's Easter bunny (sorry to any kids out there, I should have put a spoiler alert or something), we can't hide chocolate goodies for her to find. Instead we hide jelly beans and small toys — which means that Easter ends up being a huge letdown for me in the chocolate department.
Otherwise, it's an ok holiday.

Spring cleaning
It's been a couple of years since I cleared out the digital flotsam and jetsam that tends to accumulate in my computer's hidey-holes, so I've decided to do some spring cleaning. And, lucky you, I'm going to share with you the treasures and crap that I find (I'll leave it to you to judge which is which).
This video was created entirely in Google Docs. Some people are just so stinkin' talented. I usually struggle just to create a simple Word document.

My fave "translation" sentiment: "I want to get far, far away from you."

You know it.

I need a nap.

Prolly.

Amen.

*grin*

Seriously, my control key really falls off every once in awhile! It drives me nuts and makes me feel all Incredible Hulky.

:-P

That scene of Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone where he's yelling with his hands clapped to his cheeks has been used for absolutely everything for 20 years — everything, that is, but this joke. It would have been awesome for this joke, don't you think?

Nom nom nom.

I'm pretty sure this one is from Toothpaste for Dinner. Its brilliance is recognizable.

And this is obviously from Endless Origami. I like when people put their addresses on their creations. It makes it easier to give credit where credit is due.

Damn, this would have been awesome to post on my birthday!

Stop smiling. You'll pull a muscle!

Yeah, that person always ends up sitting next to me.

Want!

I know a person or two I need to show this Venn diagram to.

Hells yes!

For my daughter (and yours)
You were born a daughter.
You looked up to your mother.
You looked up to your father.
You looked up at everyone.
You wanted to be a princess.
You thought you were a princess.
You wanted to own a horse.
You wanted to be a horse.
You wanted your brother to be a horse.
You wanted to wear pink.
You never wanted to wear pink.
You wanted to be a veterinarian.
You wanted to be President.
You wanted to be the President’s veterinarian.
You were picked last for the team.
You were the best one on the team.
You refused to be on the team.
You wanted to be good in algebra.
You hid during algebra.
You wanted the boys to notice you.
You were afraid the boys would notice you.
You started to get acne.
You started to get breasts.
You started to get acne that was bigger than your breasts.
You wouldn’t wear a bra.
You couldn’t wait to wear a bra.
You couldn’t fit into a bra.
You didn’t like the way you looked.
You didn’t like the way your parents looked.
You didn’t want to grow up.
You had your first best friend.
You had your first date.
You had your second best friend.
You had your second first date.
You spent hours on the telephone.
You got kissed.
You got to kiss back.
You went to the prom.
You didn’t go to the prom.
You went to the prom with the wrong person.
You spent hours on the telephone.
You fell in love.
You fell in love.
You fell in love.
You lost your best friend.
You lost your other best friend.
You really fell in love.
You became a steady girlfriend.
You became a significant other.
YOU BECAME SIGNIFICANT TO YOURSELF.
Sooner or later, you start taking yourself seriously. You know when you need a break. You know when you need a rest. You know what to get worked up about and what to get rid of. And you know when it’s time to take care of yourself, for yourself. To do something that makes you stronger, faster, more complete.
Because you know it’s never too late to have a life. And never too late to change one.
JUST DO IT

Sounds like a happy ending to me

I don't know the original source for this because I received it in an email. You know, one of those very important, super professional work emails.

I borrowed this wonderfully geeky bit of humor from Cyber Chocolate. It describes spring in Calgary perfectly!
